To be a successful poker player, it is important to learn how to read other players’ “tells.” A tell is an unconscious habit that gives information about a player’s hand. This information can be communicated through body language, eye contact and other gestures. It is also important to know how to play your own cards well. For example, a player who raises their bet frequently probably has a good hand.
